What if the faller is injured and can’t press the emergency button?

If the radio is on an angle of less than 45° (i.e. faller crouching or lying down) for more than 120 seconds the radio will sound a warning alarm. If the faller does not move to a vertical position within 30 seconds:

Hauler operator can guide breaker-outs to assist faller via onscreen information

Why is this important?

Traditional forestry systems rely on a 30 minute radio call in system. A tree faller could refuel and call in at 09:30, and be knocked unconscious by a rotten spar at 09:35. It would take until 10:00 for the forestry crew to detect the emergency, 25 minutes after the injury.
